DEACON MINISTRIES |
-
Our Deacons minister among the congregation in a variety of ways
-
VISITATION: a prayerful effort to come alongside our church family and friends with God-given concern and compassion, any time we learn of physical or emotional suffering. Deacons also visit church members wherever they are receiving care or support.
-
PRAYER CHAIN: Deacons serve by administering and supporting all who request prayer.
-
MEMORIAL & FUNERAL ASSISTANCE: Deacons help with greeting, ushering and serving refreshments at receptions following services, as well as offering follow-up support to grieving family members and friends.
-
WORSHIP SERVICES: The Deacons lead in worship and hymnsong services at Aegis Assisted Living six times per year on Sunday afternoons.
-
AND MORE: Other ways deacons minister among our church family include temporarily providing meals to those in crisis, providing transportation to and from Sunday worship services and delivering Christmas poinsettias and Easter lillies to our shut-ins.
