Safely Home by Randy Alcorn  After 20 years, American business executive Ben Fielding and his college roommate are reunited in China, both men are shocked at what they discover about each other.

And the Shofar Blew by Francine Rivers  When a  small church in its dying hours brings in a new pastor the congregation is soon growing and things are looking great--from the outside.

Deadline by Randy Alcorn  When tragedy strikes those closest to him, journalist Jake Woods must draw upon all his resources to uncover the truth about their suspicious accident.

Andrew Comiskey sees our weakness as “a threshold for holy power”—the point at which God can meet us for healing and equip us for service.  In Strength in Weakness, Comiskey lays out the foundations for healing from relational and sexual sin.

Is the gay rights movement a matter of justice, or a desperate attempt to justify immoral behavior?  F. LaGard Smith, Professor of Law at Pepperdine, examines the controversy surrounding the gay rights movement in Sodom’s Second Coming movement.

Travel with Richard Mouw, president of Fuller Seminary, and see the Reformed faith in a new light in Calvinism in the Las Vegas Airport.

What if suffering is God’s invitation to trust him…and to hope for a better world?  In If God is Good Randy Alcorn offers insights from his conversations with men and women whose lives have been torn apart by suffering and yet whose faith in God burns brighter than ever.

In the midst of the arid skepticism of the academy, Kelly Monroe Kullberg found a vibrant interdisciplinary community embracing the quest for true knowledge with intellectual rigor, delight and joy.  Finding God Beyond Harvard relates the search for truth as an adventure into real life in the person of Jesus Christ.

The Gospel in a Pluralist Society by missionary pastor Lesslie Newbigin addresses the important issue of the nature of the Christian message in a society marked by religious pluralism, ethnic diversity and cultural relativism.

Hudson Taylor (1832-1905), an English missionary, founded the China Inland Mission which at his death included 205 mission stations with over 800 missionaries, and 125,000 Chinese Christians.  Down through the years hundred of thousands, perhaps millions, have been touched by this dedicated Christian’s life.  Hudson Taylor’s Spiritual Secret is the account of his amazing life.

In The Five Languages of Love, Gary Chapman reveals how people express love in five different ways: quality time, words of affirmation, gifts, acts of service and physical touch.  Apply the right principles, learn the right language and you’ll know the satisfaction of being able to express your love…and feeling truly loved in return.

If the Prodigal Were a Daughter takes a fresh look at the parables for women today.  Janice Chaffee reveals life-changing insights about women’s experiences as she recreates four parables using female characters and contemporary situations.

The Library Resource Center, located in the Fireside Room, offers a wide variety of books on Bible study, spiritual growth, theology, family life, missions, prayer, fiction, biography and reference. The card catalog is set up to find books by title, author or subject. A self-check-out system allows you to simply print your name and phone number to borrow a book for a month. On Sunday mornings a selection of books is available on the patio to borrow along with Bibles and used books to purchase.
