Family to Family began in 1983 and today serves as many as 240 lunches every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday at Catholic Charities Kitchen to needy citizens from the Ventura area. More than 84 people from Community Presbyterian Church volunteer monthly by contributing food, preparing and serving meals, and cleaning the dining room and kitchen afterward.

CPC Food Outreach began in 1982 and provides groceries and produce twice a month to individuals who come to our church office and apply for help.  Food is also delivered to 26 shut-ins.  More than 34 people from Community Presbyterian Church volunteer monthly to pick up food at the Food Share Warehouse, pack and distribute bags.

Ventura Crisis Pregnancy Center, a local, non-profit, volunteer, Christian organization that believes that all life is precious and intrinsically valuable, provides emotional and practical support to anyone who finds themselves in a crisis pregnancy situation. http://www.venturacpc.org

TenderLife Maternity Home provides food, shelter, and personal growth opportunities in a safe, loving environment to women who desire to carry their babies to term but lack the necessary means and emotional support.

The Kingdom Center The Kingdom Center is comprised of over 20 churches and hundreds of community members and businesses that have united to rebuild lives by providing food, shelter, support services, and spiritual discipleship to previously homeless families and individuals.

Project Understanding serves the poor, homeless, hungry, and oppressed with programs that include a pantry food program; a facility that provides showers, a laundry, a mail and message center for job seekers; medical help; a free tutoring program for low-income students; and help for families who are either homeless or in immediate danger of becoming homeless.

Ventura Young Life is a dynamic Christ-centered youth organizations devoted to building meaningful relationships with the unreached and unchurched kids in Ventura in order to share with them the good news of Jesus Christ.  Young Life leaders are committed to being involved in the kids’ lives and entering into their world—from supporting them at their sporting events to listening to them talk about what is important to them.  Young Life helps kids consider the direction of their lives and offers hope for their futures.

Urban Young Life.  Young Life leaders pursue the lost, unchurched, disinterested kids and walks side by side with them showing them how much Jesus Christ loves them.  It is through these relations that young Life leaders are effective in reaching teenagers for Jesus Christ.  In Oxnard, Urban Young Life has established a Learning Center in the midst of a low-income apartment complex.

IMPACT (International Mission Project and Cross Cultural Training), a project of the Santa Barbara Presbytery, was created in 1993, and has sent more than 320 people from more than 30 churches on cross-cultural, short-term summer mission trips. Participants go to learn the perspectives of another culture in the developing world, to live and work alongside new friends, and to exchange stories and experiences of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Day-Break Ministries serves formerly incarcerated women with a discipleship program, believing in the gospel of redemption for these women through Jesus Chris.  Day-Break Ministries offers Sunday services, one-on-one discipleship, group Bible study, and prayer.  The process of discipleship allows Day-Break Ministries to watch God’s love and forgiveness unlock the doors of repressed pain anxiety, bitterness and failures.
