The purpose of the music and arts ministries is to support the corporate worship of the congregation, to encourage and provide opportunities in ministry for those with musical and creative abilities, and to function as a vehicle of outreach to the community. Other objectives include the development of skills in the creative arts, solo, vocal and instrumental performance, choral technique and worship leadership. This ministry promotes growth in personal discipleship and spiritual commitment toward Jesus Christ and His ministry.

MUSIC MINISTRIES |
CPC's music ministry leads worship through vocal choirs, handbell choirs, praise teams, special music ensembles and drama which regularly participate in worship and minister in special events to the community at large. Each music ministry group is important in the life of our church. More information on individual ministries is below.

Choirs |
Chancel Choir:
CPC’s foundational choral group, the Chancel Choir participates in worship, weekly providing both classical and modern music. The Chancel Choir is open to all ages, including middle and high school students. Chancel Choir rehearses on Thursdays from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and breaks during the summer months.

Handbells |
Our handbell groups participate in worship services at various times during the year for Sunday and Seasonal worship services. From advanced ensembles to larger choirs, opportunities are available for ringers at all levels.

Praise Teams |
gra•tis Worship Team:
Our volunteer praise teams lead worship in our 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning worship service known as Gratis. The worship team plays many different types of music. Interested vocalists and instrumentalists are encouraged to contact the service Worship Leader, Jay McCoy to get involved.

Special Music & Ensembles |
Ensembles:
CPC has a number of ensembles including but not limited to womens' ensembles, several mens' ensembles, mixed ensembles, and more. If you are interested in performing in one of our existing ensembles or in establishing a new ensemble, please contact Steve Braun, Choir Director.

TECHNICAL MINISTRIES |
Our technical ministries support worship services by providing sound, lighting, video, projection and Powerpoint presentations during all worship services and special events. This ministry also oversees the duplication of worship service and special event recordings and manages their distribution via CDs and DVDs.

SUPPORT MINISTRIES |
The music and worship support ministries include ushers, greeters, communion set-up teams, sanctuary/fellowship hall decorators, worship service coordinators, gratis service teams and the Worship and Arts TEAM. These behind-the-scenes ministries are invaluable to the worship ministries at our church.
