 FarSite - An Overview:
Our vision extends beyond our campus (OnSite) and our community (OffSite) to the world. As we think, as we pray, and as we plan, it is clear that it is not enough to change our church or even change our community. We want to change the world.

For a number of years we have been developing relationships with two strategically located vibrant churches through which we can make a huge impact for the gospel.

Emanuel Church, Tirana Albania — This church in the capital of Albania is led by two pastors who also work full time in Christian ministries, one with the Albanian Bible Society and the other as head of the Albanian IFES/Intervarsity.  Our Far-Site plans include partnering with EC, building up their leadership and helping them get connected formally with our presbytery.  We will also help develop their annual church conference, an evangelistic and discipleship ministry, financially and through personal involvement.  In addition, we will partner with EC in their own off-site ministry in Vaqarr, a small Muslim village outside of Tirana.

Antalya Evangelical Church (AIK), Antalya, Turkey — This well established church is led by a Turkish Pastor with two other Turkish young men. AIK desires to have their own facility where they will have their own identity as a church. We have the opportunity to partner with them by providing some of the funds necessary to purchase and build the church property. Our Far-Site relationship with AIK will begin with an On-Site component: Pastor Ramazan will spend 12 to 18 months as a pastor-in-residence at CPC and Ojai Presbyterian Church.  During this time we will have an opportunity to deepen our relationship with him and his wife Karen.

FarSite Grants — Grants are designed to equip our congregation for ministry and provide
opportunities to move out in response to God’s call. As we move more deeply into ministering in the world, there will be some who receive a call that is not for Turkey, Albania, or one of our existing missions partners.  Grants for specific projects such as Medical Mission trips, Gulf Coast Rebuilding, etc. will be provided based on a formal application process with clear accountability. Our desire is to allow individual members of CPC to find where God would have them serve and begin to help empower them in that service.
