Please commit to praying regularly for (1) Fire-Fighters and First Responders (2) Fire Victims (3) the local church (4) government leaders and agencies (5) relief organizations and leaders.

Local Support & Housing:

If you have lived through the loss of your home to fire (e.g the Thomas Fire), there is need for your experience and wisdom by those experiencing the same kind of loss.  If you are willing to be on a list so that we might call upon and connect you with people, please email Katie Spence (katie@cpcventura.org). We will not give away your information without your consent, but we are trying to build a specific list of people willing to help guide fire victims in their new reality.

If your home has space and you are willing to host and provide temporary housing for fire victims we are also building a list. Please email Katie Spence (katie@cpcventura.org) with the bedrooms/bathrooms you are willing to provide. We will not give out your information without consent. By “temporary” we mean up to 1-month.

Organizations to Support:

We believe there are many wonderful organizations on the ground doing incredible work. We also believe that many of you are already connected and supporting those efforts. If you are looking for suggestions, there are currently two organizations we believe will do good work with your donations: World Renew and Convoy of Hope

We know these organizations and can affirm their approach and impact. We will update this list as we discern others in the days and weeks to come. We are in standby mode with other ECO churches that have fire victims. At this time, we have not received word on any specific needs but imagine there will be some in the future. We will bring those needs as we get them.
