The Ventura Community Christmas Shoppe serves under resourced families by providing new toys at no cost to them. We’ll be collecting new toys until Dec 10 in both our sanctuary and Fellowship Hall lobbies. Information will also be available on types of gifts and other ways to be involved. The one day Shoppe event will take place December 13 at Orchard Community Church.

Besides donating gifts there are many needs for volunteers as well! You can see the full list here. We’re highlighting the needs for childcare, gift wrappers, parking lot monitors, and guest hospitality. Talk with Marsh Peters or Pastor Bruce for more info.

Ventura Foul Weather Shelter
Between Dec 1 & Mar 31 the City of Ventura, along with churches and other organizations, come together to provide shelter for the most vulnerable, unhoused people. If the temperature drops below 40 degrees or 1/2” of rain is expected, rooms will be provided this year for 40 individuals. Stay Warm Packs are provided for those who do not qualify for a room.
How can you help?
Donate - Drop off items like: jackets, sleeping bags, ponchos, small tarps, blankets, socks, hand warmers, toiletries, packaged snack items, or carrying bags, at the bin in our lobby.
Meals: CPC has volunteered to provide meals on Sundays if the shelter is activated between 12/1-3/31. We are responsible to package up and deliver 50 dinners, breakfasts and lunches on Sunday afternoons. We need a people ready to be called upon to help provide, prepare, and pack meals! Operation Christmas Child provides children around the world with a shoebox filled with gifts, supplies and the Gospel message. You can still pack shoeboxes online through December 31, 2025.
