Christmas at CPC

During this Advent season we encourage you to go deeper. The Christianity Today devotional, Darkness, Then Light, is a 25 day Advent devotional featuring daily readings and weekly reflections on the hope and healing of Jesus. Copies will be available in the lobby for $1 - grab a copy for family and friends! We hope you’ll make this a regular rhythm individually, as a family, or as a small group during this Advent season.

“Unto Us” Advent Series | Beginning Nov 30

Join us on Sunday mornings during this season of Advent, as we await the arrival of Jesus with hopeful anticipation. In our sermon series, “Unto Us,” we’ll explore the depth and meaning of each of the themes of Advent: Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love.

Everyone’s Invited! Advent Celebration | Dec 3, 6:30pm | Sanctuary

Take a moment to pause together during the bustling holiday season as we wait in hopeful anticipation of Christ’s birth. We invite you to join us in the sanctuary for an evening designed for all ages to come together in celebration and reflection of the season.

Christmas Shoppe  | Dec 13

We’ll be collecting new toys for The Ventura Community Christmas Shoppe until Dec 10 in both our sanctuary and Fellowship Hall lobbies. The one day Shoppe event will take place December 13 at Orchard Community Church.

Longest Night Service | Dec 21, 4pm | Sanctuary

This worship service is an opportunity for those who have experienced grief and loss to encounter the tender mercy of God at Christmas, in the advent of Jesus.

Christmas Eve Services | Dec 24, 4pm & 6pm | Sanctuary

Celebrate the eve of Christ’s birth with us 4pm & 6pm. 

All Church Worship | Dec 28 and Jan 4, 10am | Sanctuary

We will gather at one 10am service to worship all together as one church family.

During this Advent season we invite you to bring: 

  • new, unwrapped toys (ages birth to 17) for Ventura Community Christmas Shoppe (by Dec 10)

  • blankets and coats for the Warming Shelter (throughout December)

Drop off donations in the boxes in the lobby on Sundays, or during the week at the office (M-TH, 9am-12pm). Thank you for your generosity!
