Seasonal Studies

Seasonal Studies run seasonally, 8 weeks in the spring and 8 weeks in the fall. They are intentionally designed to expand our faith literacy, deepen spiritual formation, and grow community.

Foundations of the Faith

Whether you are a new believer seeking a firm starting point or a long-time Christian looking to refresh your understanding of the fundamentals, this study is designed for you. We will gather every other week for four sessions to explore who God is, the uniqueness of Jesus, the person of the Holy Spirit, and the purpose of the church. Together, we’ll discover how these core beliefs shape how we communicate with God, relate to others, and interact with the world. This study stands alone but is designed to work in tandem with the Spiritual Disciplines seminar, where you can learn foundational faith practices.

Wednesdays | 6:30-8pm, Fireside Room (Oct 7, 21, Nov 4, 18)

Spiritual Disciplines

In the busyness of life, it is easy to feel spiritually drained or disconnected. This group will help us slow down and explore practices such as prayer, Scripture, silence, and rest to deepen our relationship with God. We’ll look at why these practices are vital to our faith and what it means to incorporate them into our day-to-day rhythms. This study stands alone, but is designed to work in tandem with Foundations of the Faith.

Wednesdays | 6:30-8pm, Fireside Room (Oct 7, 21, Nov 4, 18)

Health & Faith

This series of seminars, led by healthcare professionals from our church family, explores topics at the intersection of relational, physical, emotional, and spiritual health. They will look holistically at personal well-being, our faith, and how we care for others. These seminars work as standalone sessions, but many of the topics connect. Feel free to sign up for whichever ones you’d like to attend!

Sept 29 - “The Heart of Caregiving” - Dr. Willie Rajala - Caring for a loved one can be rewarding, and it can also be emotionally and physically draining. Join us as we talk about caregiving issues and ways to help work through them.

Oct 6 - “Boundaries With Grace” - Kathy Streeter, MA, LMFT - Boundaries aren’t walls – they’re the lines that let love in and keep resentment out. This workshop blends practical tools with biblical wisdom to help you set healthy boundaries and love others without losing yourself.

Oct 13 - “Conflict, Compassion & Resolution” - Dr. Jim Witty - Life is full of friction, but our faith gives us a better blueprint for peace. This seminar will help us discover how to navigate disagreements, lower defenses, and resolve conflict in a Christ-like manner, employing practical, biblical tools.

Oct 20 - “Understanding Depression & Anxiety” - Dr. Ted Hole - Go beneath the surface of mental health. This seminar covers the core signs of depression and anxiety, highlights effective medical and lifestyle treatments, and offers a live Q&A to give you real answers.

Oct 27 - “Words That Matter” - Dr. Jim Witty - How we talk to each other matters, and our faith gives us the ultimate guide for connection. This seminar will focus on practical, real-world steps to improve our relationships. We’ll look at how communication skills can improve your marriage, help you handle tough conversations at work, or simply reflect Jesus better in your everyday life.

Tuesdays | 6:30-8pm, Fireside Room

Perspectives

This study follows the “Perspectives Course,” a class designed to explore and deepen our understanding of God's heart for all people, and the invitation to join in reaching the nations. We’ll look at this through the context of scripture, the history of Christian missions, the importance of cultural contextualization, and the current state of modern mission work. As we continue to consider what it means to be Image Bearers, this study will expand upon living that out with purpose and mission, both globally and in our own communities.

Thursdays | 6:30-8pm, Fireside Room (Sept 24, Oct 1, 8, 29, Nov 5)

Into His Marvelous Light: 1 Peter Bible Study

Join us for an interactive, 8-week Bible study through 1 Peter. Written for Christian “exiles” living in a hostile world, this letter offers timely encouragement on finding our identity in Christ and building resilience through difficult seasons. By looking to Jesus as our guide, we'll discover how to live out a genuine faith that reflects His love and generosity in a challenging world. We’ll spend time going deep in the scripture together, sharing in small groups, and growing in community.

Tuesdays | 6:30-8pm, Carpenter Shop (Sept 22-Nov 10)
